The NYPD is ramping up its presence around Trump Tower in New York City and Times Square as a precaution following the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside a Trump hotel property in Las Vegas and the truck attack in New Orleans,

While there are no immediate threats to our city at this time, out of an abundance of caution, we have heightened security and have increased NYPD presence at relevant locations"

The Las Vegas Police Department said in a social media post Wednesday that it is investigating a vehicle fire at the entrance of Trump Towers and that the fire has been extinguished, advising people to avoid the area.
