NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey has resigned following allegations of sexual misconduct, the department says.

Former NYPD Chief of Dept. Jeffrey Maddrey was a "predator" whose years-long sexual abuse and exploitation of women was an “open secret,” sources said.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch accepted Maddrey’s resignation, which took effect immediately, according to a Saturday announcement from the department, the report added.
