Upon arriving, wrote Gonzalez, officials found three injured men. Two had gunshot wounds, and a third may have been assaulted. The three men were hospitalized and are in serious condition. Gonzalez wrote that a fourth man found at the scene was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Assistant Chief Luis Menendez-Sierra said officers discovered a "very hectic scene" with a large crowd of people running out of a makeshift club.
