The latest big update for Windows 11, version 24H2, has run into yet another problem, namely an issue with audio output - or lack of it. This is a bug that breaks the sound output from affected PCs, so you’ll hear nothing through built-in speakers, or Bluetooth speakers, or headsets - which is a pretty nasty development.

Windows 11 24H2 is still breaking stuff, and Microsoft continues to block the update for users who could be affected.

Windows 11 users whose computers use Dirac Audio technology with the cridspapo.dll component will not receive the 24H2 update proposal anytime soon. This is yet another issue listed in the Windows documentation that postpones the update through Windows Update.
